Movie Town Kids is the development of a traveling exhibition of cinema as a strategy to strengthen cultural consumption of girls, boys, teenagers and teachers, inhabitants of municipalities, townships or villages that suffer from a low supply of cultural goods and services. So far, we have been at schools and libraries in towns such as: Arjona, Arroyo Hondo, Calamar, Clemencia,Mahates, San Cristobal, San Estanislao, Santa Catalina, Villanueva, Santa Rosa. Turbana, Turbaco, Carmen de Bolívar, Córdoba, El Guamo, María la Baja, San Jacinto, San Juan Nepomuceno, Zambrano, Cicuco, Talaiguia Nuevo, Mompox, San Fernando, Margarita, Hatillo de Loba, San Martin de Loba, Barranco de Loba, Altos del Rosario, el Peñòn, Regidor, Rio Viejo, Norosí, Pinillos, Magangue, Tiquisio, Achì, Montecristo, San Jacinto del Cauca, Arenal, Cantagallo, Morales, San Pedro, San Pablo, Santa Rosa del sur y Simití.

Movie Club Kids
The Movie Club Kids is a learning, cinematographic appreciation and exchange of opinions and views space, which encourages creativity, free expression and criticism of children and youth. Through Movie Club Kids, the Festicinekids Foundation attempts to consolidate an arena for training, integration and entertainment, to promote film culture and provide to children and adolescents from Cartagena, an alternative of fun and education away from violence and other social problems that violate their rights as human beings.
The purpose of this program is to create a cinema club, shaped by 200 students from different educational schools, both public and private, who identify themselves with the seventh art and want to strengthen and expand their knowledge of film appreciation, and at the same time, socialize with other children and young people that share a taste for this cultural event as well.
Furthermore, this project seeks to its members are multipliers in their respective educational institutions of the learning in this program, to ensure that each school develops a cinematographic culture that promotes the formation of a school film club and film festival. Therefore, the schools which these students belong will also benefit medium-term of this project.
Objectives:
• To form the biggest Cinema Club of Cartagena and Colombia, composed of children and adolescents, students from different schools in the city of Cartagena.
• To training children and teenagers in Film Appreciation to contributing to the development or enhancement of critical thinking and analytical ability.
• To stimulate the ability to create, critique and teamwork through activities around the film appreciation and creation of cinema clubs.
• Create a space for training, integration and entertainment that promotes film culture and provide children and youth of the city, a fun alternative away from violence and other social problems that violate their rights as human beings.
• To get the Kids Movie Club members be multipliers in their respective educational institutions of the learned in this program, to ensure that each school to develop a film culture, which would boost -a medium term, the realization of a school cinema festival.
• To maintain a close relationship with the different schools of the city of Cartagena, through students who represent them in the Movie Club Kids, because schools are the audience target for all activities organized by the Foundation Festicinekids.
Festicinekids
The Festicinekids Foundation is a non-profit organization established on July 1st 2008 with the aim of providing cultural, recreational, educational, communications and technical services to children and adolescents, both in the field of film industry and visual arts. Its constitution is the result of the consolidation of the International Cartagena Film Festival for Children and Youth, founded by Gerardo Nieto Nunez in 1998. Since its creation, it took the realization of this Festival, which has since, from its version number 10 it is called Festicinekids Cartagena. After six years, the foundation has accomplished to consolidate a cultural proffer that allows it to offer open cultural activities to the community and implement programs and projects that contribute to social and cultural development of the country and in particular the film industry. Standing out as an interested entity to facilitate access of children and adolescents to cultural goods and services, offers during the festival week different activities such as: Tributes, Closing, Opening, Workshop, Movie Bike Tour and free tickets to movies throughout the week of the event.
This Festival is primarily aimed at all schools in the city, both public and private that want to participate and also to the general public, children, youth, teachers and parents who want to enjoy with their children.
